Components Checklist
# CF-10 Advanced Occupancy sensors
#* Verify the device code matches the code specified on the site floorplan
# (optional) Mounting bracket, if not using magnetic mounting
# USB-C to USB-C cable
# USB-C power supply

Step 1(a): Sensor mounting (ceiling mount sensor)
The occupancy sensor is pre-configured, and must be mounted to the ceiling as close as possible to the marked location on the floorplan.

Several options are provided for mounting. No matter the method used, the sensor must be mounted

* Within 1 metre of the location marked on the floorplan;
* On a stable surface, free of vibration (do not mount to air-conditioning ducting);
* Above head height of staff and customers;
* Within 10-20m of the occupancy gateway;
* With a clear “view” of the area to be covered;
* In a location with minimum obstructions between the gateway and the occupancy sensor, to ensure good wireless signal propagation;
* In a dry, indoor environment, clear of heat sources, condensation and water.

If in doubt, please contact Pemberton Digital for mounting advice (contact details below).

Sensor orientation
The ceiling-mount sensor must face directly downwards.

Rotate the sensor so the arrow on the sensor lines up with the arrow on the floorplan provided.

Important! Check the sensor code
Check the 5-character code on the rear of the sensor matches the code marked on the floorplan supplied.

Mounting Option 1 - Attach sensor directly to a cable tray
To aid mounting, the sensor includes two magnets on the rear, and it can be clipped magnetically directly to a cable tray as shown in the photo above. No bracket is required.

Ensure the sensor is oriented to match the arrow marked on the floorplan.

Remove the sensor orientation (red arrow) sticker.

Mounting Option 2 - Use ceiling mount bracket
The ceiling mount bracket allows mounting on ceiling tiles and other non-metallic ceiling surfaces.

Orient the bracket with the longer edge (marked in blue) in line with the orientation arrow marked on the floor plan.

Attach the bracket to the ceiling using appropriate screws and fixings. For ceiling tiles and plasterboard ceilings, “spring toggle” type fixings are recommended. Do not screw directly into the ceiling tile.

Use at least two fixings on either side of the bracket.

The sensor power cable may be routed through a hole in the located behind the bracket, for neat installation.

Clip the sensor magnetically to the bracket.

Ensure the sensor is oriented to match the arrow marked on the floorplan.

Remove the sensor orientation (red arrow) sticker.

Step 1(b): Sensor mounting (wall mount sensor)
The occupancy sensor is pre-configured, and must be mounted to the wall as close as possible to the marked location on the floorplan, with a specific tilt and angle.

To obtain an accurate mounting angle, a specific bracket is provided with a set tilt. The bracket is mounted using double sided tape (supplied).

The sensor must be mounted

* Within 1 metre of the location marked on the floorplan;
* On a stable surface, free of vibration (do not mount to air-conditioning ducting);
* Above head height of staff and customers;
* Within 10-20m of the occupancy gateway;
* With a clear “view” of the area to be covered;
* In a location with minimum obstructions between the gateway and the occupancy sensor, to ensure good wireless signal propagation;
* In a dry, indoor environment, clear of heat sources, condensation and water.

If in doubt, please contact Pemberton Digital for mounting advice (contact details below).

Important! Check the sensor code
Check the 5-character code on the rear of the sensor matches the code marked on the floorplan supplied.

Mounting using the supplied wall mount bracket
The wall-mount sensor must be mounted to a clean, dry wall using the supplied bracket, with the bracket level on the wall (the line marked must be horizontal).

* Ensure the location is exactly as marked on the floorplan supplied.
* Ensure the line is horizontal
* Clean the wall with the supplied alcohol cleaning swab to ensure the double sided tape adheres firmly.

Remove the backing on the double sided tape and stick the sensor and bracket to the wall. Hold it firmly in place for 20 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.

Once the sensor is attached to the wall, remove the alignment sticker from the front of the sensor.

Step 2: Power Connection
The sensor must be connected to a power supply.

Route the provided USB-C to USB-C cable from the sensor back to a 13A outlet. Ensure the output has a 24-hour power supply (ie. it is not connected to a lighting circuit).

Connect the supplied USB-C power supply to the USB-C cable and plug it in to the outlet.

Ensue the USB-C cable is firmly seated on the power supply (insert the cable until you hear a click).

Power Connection Verification
When the sensor is powered up, it will flash a white LED for 30 seconds to show that it is working correctly.

Turn on the power, and verify the sensor flashes for 30 seconds.

Step 3: Check measurements and power
* If it was necessary to install the sensor in a location different to marked, measure the distances to the nearest wall or feature and mark this on the floor plan.
* Take a photograph of the sensor showing the sensor and surroundings.
* Double check power is connected and turned on.
* Send the annotated plan and photographs to info@pemberton.digital.

# Use Looker Studio's filter controls to select specific locations
# Create separate views for different sites or combine them for comparisons

Date Filtering
* Always specify a date range when creating reports

Welcome to Pemberton Digital
These Terms of Service govern your use of our website at https://pemberton.digital and our analytics application at https://app.pemberton.digital, along with any related services we provide. By accessing our website or using our services, you're entering into a legal agreement with Pemberton Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14422623) with offices at Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, BH16 6FA.

We've written these terms to be as clear as possible, but they do form a binding legal agreement. If you're using our services on behalf of an organisation, you're confirming that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use our services.

Understanding Our Service
Pemberton Digital provides space analytics through radar sensors that count people and measure how spaces are used. Our sensors collect anonymous data about occupancy and movement patterns, which we process and present through our web-based analytics dashboard. This data helps organisations understand and optimise their use of physical spaces.

It's important to understand what our service is and isn't. We provide analytical insights based on anonymous counting data. We don't provide security services, access control, or individual tracking. Our sensors detect the presence of people but cannot identify who they are. The insights we provide are based on statistical analysis and should be used as one input among many in your decision-making processes.

Getting Started
Website Access
Our website is publicly accessible for informational purposes. You can browse our site, learn about our services, and contact us without creating an account. When using our website, you agree not to attempt to disrupt its operation, access restricted areas, or use automated systems to scrape content without our permission.

Application Access
To use our analytics application, your organisation needs an active subscription agreement with us. We'll provide authorised users with login credentials to access the dashboard. These credentials are unique to each user and must not be shared. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activities that occur under your account.

If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, please notify us immediately at support@pemberton.digital. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that show signs of unauthorised access while we investigate.

Acceptable Use
Our services are designed for legitimate business purposes – understanding and optimising space usage. When using our services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not use our services to:

* Use our data to make automated decisions that could have legal or similarly significant effects on individuals
* Access or attempt to access data from sensors not associated with your organisation
* Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code of our applications or sensor technology
* Use our services in any way that could damage our reputation or the reputation of our other customers
* Interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
* Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise our security
* Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Your Data and Our Service
Sensor Data
The anonymous counting data collected by sensors installed at your premises remains valuable to both parties. You own the data about your spaces, and we grant you a licence to access and use this data through our application for the duration of your subscription. We retain the right to use aggregated, anonymous data across all our customers to improve our services and develop industry insights, but we'll never identify your organisation in any such use without your permission.

Your Uploads and Inputs
Any information you upload to our application, such as floor plans, space labels, or custom configurations, remains your property. By uploading this content, you grant us a licence to use it as necessary to provide our services to you. You confirm that you have the right to upload any content you share with us and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

Our Analytics and Reports
The reports, visualisations, and insights we generate from your sensor data represent our analysis and interpretation. While you can use these outputs for your business purposes, they remain our intellectual property. You may share reports internally within your organisation and with professional advisers, but please don't distribute them publicly or to competitors without our written permission.

Payment and Subscriptions
Our services are provided on a subscription basis, with fees and payment terms set out in your commercial agreement.

If payments are overdue, we may suspend access to the application after providing notice, as specified in your commercial agreement. We cannot guarantee that historical data will remain available if an account remains suspended for an extended period.

Service Availability and Support
We strive to maintain high availability of our application, targeting 99.5% uptime measured monthly. This doesn't include scheduled maintenance, which we'll announce in advance when possible. While we work hard to ensure our service is always available, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Various factors outside our control, including internet connectivity issues, could affect availability.

Our standard support is provided during UK business hours (9 AM to 5 PM GMT/BST, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). We aim to acknowledge support requests within one business day and resolve issues as quickly as possible based on their severity.

Accuracy and Limitations
Our sensors and analytics provide estimates based on radar technology. While we've designed our system to be highly accurate, no counting system is perfect. Various factors can affect accuracy, including environmental conditions, sensor placement, and the complexity of movement patterns in a space.

The insights we provide should be used as one input in your decision-making process, not as the sole basis for important decisions. We recommend considering our data alongside other relevant information about your spaces and operations.

Intellectual Property
Pemberton Digital owns all intellectual property rights in our services, including our sensor technology, software, analytics methods, and brand materials. Your subscription grants you a limited right to use our services but doesn't transfer any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

Similarly, you retain ownership of your data and content. We won't use your data except as necessary to provide services to you and as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our name, logo, and branding are our trademarks. Please don't use them without our written permission, except that you may identify yourself as our customer in factual contexts.

Confidentiality
Through using our services, both parties may have access to confidential information. We agree to keep each other's confidential information secure and not disclose it to third parties, except as required to provide the services or as required by law. This obligation continues even after your subscription ends.

Confidential information doesn't include information that was already public, was independently developed, or was rightfully received from another source.

Liability and Indemnification
We provide our services with care and professionalism, but we cannot guarantee perfection. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we limit our liability as follows:
* We exclude all warranties not explicitly stated in these terms or your commercial agreement. We won't be liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, or loss of business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim related to our services won't exceed the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
* These limitations don't apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of data protection laws.
* You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your use of our services in violation of laws, or your infringement of third-party rights.

Changes and Termination
We may update these terms as our services evolve. We'll notify existing customers of material changes by email or through the application. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Either party may terminate the subscription according to the terms of the commercial agreement. Upon termination, your access to the application will end. We may retain data as necessary for legal compliance or as specified in our Privacy Policy.

Certain provisions of these terms survive termination, including confidentiality obligations, liability limitations, and ownership rights.

General Provisions
These terms, together with your commercial agreement and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains valid.

Where these Terms of Service form part of your overall agreement with us alongside a separate commercial agreement, purchase order, or service contract, the specific terms in your commercial agreement, purchase order, or service contract will take precedence if there's any conflict.

We may assign our rights under these terms in connection with a business sale or restructuring. You may not assign your rights without our written consent.

Failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later. Notices should be sent to the addresses specified in these terms or your commercial agreement.

Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Contact Us
We're here to help and welcome your questions about these terms or our services:

Pemberton Digital - Privacy Policy
17/10/2024

Our Commitment to Privacy
At Pemberton Digital, we believe that understanding how spaces are used shouldn't come at the cost of personal privacy. That's why we've built our entire technology stack around a simple principle: collecting valuable insights without collecting personal information.

Our sensors use advanced radar technology to understand space utilisation and occupancy patterns. Unlike camera-based systems that require privacy masking or face-blurring, our sensors cannot and do not capture any images, videos, or identifying information about individuals. When someone walks past one of our sensors, all we know is that a person is present – not who they are, what they look like, or where they've been before.

This privacy-by-design approach means that the people moving through spaces monitored by our sensors maintain complete anonymity. There are no images to hack, no faces to blur, and no personal data to protect because we simply don't collect it in the first place.

For our customers who use our dashboard to view analytics and insights, we are equally committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information we do collect to provide our services, and the measures we take to keep that information secure.

Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies between you, the User of our Website and Application, and Pemberton Digital Ltd, the owner and provider of these services. We take the privacy of your information very seriously, and this Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding any data collected through our website at https://pemberton.digital and our application at https://app.pemberton.digital.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as it affects your rights and liabilities under law. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Website or Application.

Understanding Our Service and Data Collection
Pemberton Digital provides occupancy and space analytics through a network of radar sensors that count people and measure occupancy levels. It's important to understand that our service involves different types of data:

Sensor Data consists entirely of anonymous counting and movement patterns. Our radar technology detects the presence and movement of people but cannot identify individuals. This is fundamentally different from camera-based systems – we don't capture images that need to be masked or blurred because we don't capture images at all.

Customer Data relates to the organisations and individuals who purchase our services and use our dashboard to view analytics. This includes account information and usage data necessary to provide our services.

Website Data covers information collected when people visit our website, primarily through cookies and analytics tools.

Who We Are
Pemberton Digital Ltd is a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 14422623. Our registered office is at Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, BH16 6FA. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the "data controller" responsible for the personal data we collect through our Website and Application.

Information We Collect
When You Visit Our Website
When you browse our website, we automatically collect certain technical information to help us understand how visitors use our site and to improve their experience. This includes your IP address, the type of browser and device you're using, which pages you visit, and how you arrived at our site. We use Google Analytics to help us analyse this information in aggregate form.

We also collect information you provide directly when you contact us through our website, such as your name, email address, company name, and the content of your enquiry.

When You Use Our Application
For customers who register to use our dashboard application, we collect the information needed to create and manage your account. This includes your name, email address, job title, company name, and contact details. We also collect information about how you use the application, such as when you log in, which features you access, and what reports you generate.

Your account credentials are stored securely with passwords encrypted using industry-standard methods. We maintain logs of system access for security and troubleshooting purposes.

From Our Sensors
Our radar sensors detect and count people in spaces, measuring occupancy levels, movement patterns, and dwell times. This data is completely anonymous – the sensors cannot determine any identifying characteristics of individuals. They simply detect that a person is present, not who that person is.

This is a fundamental aspect of our technology choice. While some competitors use cameras that capture images requiring privacy masking, our radar-based approach means there are no images to protect and no risk of identifying individuals.

How We Use Information
The information we collect serves different purposes depending on its type:

Website visitor information helps us improve our website's content and navigation, understand which pages are most useful, and respond to enquiries effectively. We analyse this data in aggregate to identify trends and improve user experience.

Application user information enables us to provide access to our dashboard, manage accounts, deliver customer support, send important service updates, and ensure the security of our systems. We may also use this information to inform you about new features or services that might benefit your organisation.

The anonymous sensor data we collect is used to generate the analytics and insights our customers rely on. This might include occupancy reports, usage patterns, space efficiency metrics, and other analytical outputs. We may also use aggregated sensor data to develop industry benchmarks and insights, but this is always done in a way that maintains the anonymity of both the individuals counted and our customers.

Sharing Information
We work with carefully selected service providers who help us deliver our services. These include European cloud hosting providers who store our data, analytics services like Google Analytics that help us understand website usage, email service providers for customer communications, and customer support platforms.

These providers are contractually required to protect your information and can only use it to provide services to us. We ensure they maintain appropriate security standards and comply with applicable data protection laws.

We may also share information with our professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, who are bound by professional confidentiality obligations. If legally required, we may disclose information to law enforcement or regulatory authorities. In the event of a potential sale or restructuring of our business, relevant information may be shared with prospective purchasers under strict confidentiality agreements.

We never sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Protecting Your Information
Security is fundamental to our service. We implement comprehensive technical and organisational measures to protect all information in our care.

All data transmitted between your browser and our systems is encrypted using current TLS protocols. Data stored in our systems is encrypted at rest. We use secure cloud infrastructure with regular security updates and monitoring. Access to systems is strictly controlled through authentication requirements and role-based permissions.

Our cloud infrastructure is based in the European Union and the United Kingdom.

For our Application, we offer additional security features including multi-factor authentication. We conduct regular security assessments and maintain incident response procedures.

How Long We Keep Information
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Website visitor data collected through Google Analytics is retained for 26 months according to Google's standard retention policy. Application user accounts are maintained for the duration of your service agreement plus 12 months to handle any post-contract matters. Communications related to customer support are retained for three years to help us provide consistent service.

When information is no longer needed, we ensure it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your Rights
Data protection law gives you several rights regarding your personal information. You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct any inaccuracies, request deletion of your information (subject to our legal obligations), restrict how we process your information, receive your data in a portable format, and object to certain types of processing.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@pemberton.digital. We will respond to your request within one month, though complex requests may take longer. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device, to improve your experience and help us understand how our site is used. Essential cookies are necessary for features like maintaining your session when logged into the Application. Analytics cookies, primarily from Google Analytics, help us understand website usage patterns.

You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality. For detailed information about cookies and how to manage them, visit http://www.aboutcookies.org .

Google Analytics collects aggregated information about website visits, including pages viewed, visit duration, and general geographic location (at country or city level). If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

International Transfers
To provide our services, we may transfer information to service providers located outside the UK or European Economic Area. When we do this, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities or relying on adequacy decisions. Our primary infrastructure providers maintain high security standards and appropriate certifications for international data transfers.

Children's Privacy
Our services are designed for business use and are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve or legal requirements change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. If we make significant changes that affect how we handle your personal information, we will notify active customers by email. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Contact Us
We welcome questions and feedback about our privacy practices. You can reach our data protection team at:
Components Checklist
# CF-10 Advanced Occupancy sensors
#* Verify the device code matches the code specified on the site floorplan
# (optional) Mounting bracket, if not using magnetic mounting
# USB-C to USB-C cable
# USB-C power supply

Step 1(a): Sensor mounting (ceiling mount sensor)
The occupancy sensor is pre-configured, and must be mounted to the ceiling as close as possible to the marked location on the floorplan.

Several options are provided for mounting. No matter the method used, the sensor must be mounted

* Within 1 metre of the location marked on the floorplan;
* On a stable surface, free of vibration (do not mount to air-conditioning ducting);
* Above head height of staff and customers;
* Within 10-20m of the occupancy gateway;
* With a clear “view” of the area to be covered;
* In a location with minimum obstructions between the gateway and the occupancy sensor, to ensure good wireless signal propagation;

* Within 1 metre of the location marked on the floorplan;
* On a stable surface, free of vibration (do not mount to air-conditioning ducting);
* Above head height of staff and customers;
* Within 10-20m of the occupancy gateway;
* With a clear “view” of the area to be covered;
* In a location with minimum obstructions between the gateway and the occupancy sensor, to ensure good wireless signal propagation;

The wall-mount sensor must be mounted to a clean, dry wall using the supplied bracket, with the side of the bracket oriented vertically (the blue line below must be vertical).

* Ensure the location is exactly as marked on the floorplan supplied.
* Ensure the red arrow is facing up.
* If the wall is dirty, clean it with detergent and/or isopropyl alcohol to ensure the double sided tape adheres firmly.

Remove the backing on the double sided tape and stick the sensor and bracket to the wall. Hold it firmly in place for 20 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.

# 12V / 2A DC power supply
# Adapter cable
# External antenna with gold adapter at base

Installation Location Requirements
The gateway should be mounted

* On a wall, ideally above head height (out of the way of staff and customers);
* Within 10-20m of the occupancy sensors to be installed;
* Access to a standard power outlet with 24-hour power;
* In a location with minimum obstructions between the gateway and the occupancy sensors, to ensure good wireless signal propagation;
* In a dry, indoor environment, clear of heat sources, condensation and water.

If in doubt, please contact Pemberton Digital for mounting advice (contact details below).

Installation Steps
1. Mounting the Gateway
Mount the gateway on the wall above head height using appropriate anchors and screws. Ensure adequate clearance for cable connections.

The device should be mounted securely with the white face visible and accessible and cable connections on the lower edge.

Note: The device has a green status LED on top that should be visible after installation.

2. Antenna Connection
Connect the external antenna to the gold-coloured SMA connector on the side of the gateway. Ensure the gold adapter (indicated with the arrow) is present.

Hand-tighten the antenna until secure, but do not over-tighten.

The antenna should be clear of cables and obstructions. The orientation is not important.

3. Power Connection
Connect the adapter cable to the gateway, and connect the power supply to the adapter cable.

Plug the power supply into a standard outlet.

Verify the gateway powers on. The LED indicator will cycle through red and blue, and turn green after 3-4 minutes.

Contact Pemberton Digital if the LED indicator does not light, or remains red even after 5 minutes have passed.

5. Final Check
The complete installation should look similar to the images above. Ensure all cables are secured and neatly arranged.

The gateway is pre-configured and connects via 5G - no technical setup is required.

Verify the green LED indicator is illuminated.
